Our Mission

Our mission is to empower individuals by providing a variety of resources and connecting them to vital community resources that will positively impact their lives in a sustainable way.

  • First, we ensure that basic needs such as food, clothing and shelter are being met. We provide financial support for the at-risk populations within the Mayes County area through the Resource Center and through our community partners. To move positively forward in life, basic needs must be met first.

  • Second, we get to know each person who walks through our doors. We test and score each person in the 8 Dimensions of Wellness to truly gain an understanding of his or her level of trauma. This allows us to target and personalize our programs based on his or her greatest needs.

  • Third, we customize and provide the necessary one-on-one coaching, tools, training classes and programs that are designed to provide the critical skills and knowledge necessary to break through addiction, move out of poverty, and successfully handle all of life’s daily challenges. We gain a deep understanding of where an individual is today and where they plan to be in the future.

  • Lastly, we empower people through a network of support to live their lives independently, but never on their own. Our coaches and participants become life-long friends and all the support systems are in place to provide ongoing support for as long as it is needed.

Our Strategy

We focus on each person’s 8 Dimensions of Wellness.

We want to know each person and understand their struggles.

We care for each person deeply and want them to succeed.

We support each person every single step of the way.

We stay connected as long as we are needed.

  • Our journey begins with a comprehensive needs assessment for each participant. We understand that well-being is multifaceted, so we take the time to explore the client’s spiritual, emotional, intellectual, physical, environmental, financial, occupational, and social needs. This initial assessment forms the basis for their personalized wellness and financial plans.

    Hope Score

Hope is the belief that your future can be brighter than your past and you play a role in making it happen. A Hope Score test is given to discover each person’s level of hope currently in their life. Assessments are given again after 6 months in our program. We consistently see improvements!

    ACE Score

We also administer an ACE assessment. This measures 10 kinds of Adverse Childhood Experiences. These 10 kinds of traumatic events during childhood can have lasting effects on your physical and mental health. The scores are used to match individuals with the perfect coach and to guide coaches while walking through life with these individuals.

  • Our life coaches are trained and assigned to individuals based on their needs. Together, the participant and coach co-create a life plan using our proprietary approach tailored to the individual’s unique struggles, goals, and aspirations. This plan is the blueprint for achieving holistic well-being and financial stability. It is designed to be practical and actionable. It includes specific steps to utilize available resources, learn essential wellness skills, and gain financial literacy. Our participants are encouraged to take ownership of their progress and actively engage in their personal growth journey. Participants receive continuous support and multiple touchpoints for monitoring their progress.

  • We conduct and partner with other organizations to provide a wide variety of training programs designed to improve life skills. Our courses include GED Preparation, Emotional Healthy Spirituality, Emotional Healthy Relations and Bridges out of Poverty.

  • Lack of transportation is a major barrier to achieving life-plan goals. The Resource Center provides options to assist with transportation to obtain IDs, shop, work, and attend meetings, appointments and courses.

  • Your Place Resource Center emphasizes the importance of community and social support. We have a network of vetted community organizations that can successfully provide a variety of services from mental health and sobriety support to meeting basic needs such as clothing, food, and shelter. When necessary, we refer individuals to these services to ensure they are getting the help they need.
